Dennis Hopper (1936-2010)

I was devastated to learn that the great actor/director Dennis Hopper had untreatable cancer a few months ago, i knew that the time would come eventually and unfortunately it has today.

Hopper passed away this morning at his home in Venice surrounded by his loved ones; his passing has left a hole in the world of film, he has left behind him a career full of performances and triumphs that many actors only dream of having once.

Hopper's onscreen presence was utterly unique, most memorably in his performance as Frank Booth in David Lynch's Blue Velvet. Other Career highlights include Speed, True Romance, Apocalypse Now and of course the timeless Easy Rider.

It is such a shame to let go of one of cinema's madmen. His memory will live on through his great work in front and behind the camera.

Thank you Dennis Hopper for your contribution to cinema and to this fan's enjoyment. You will always be remembered and there will never be another like you...that would just be impossible!
